Fujian China Travel Guide

China-Views.net's Fujian China Travel Guide includes practical, how-to, travel information for independent travelers, useful descriptions of places of interest, and tips from fellow travelers.

Fujian China is a wonderfully scenic province. It is said to be 8 parts mountain, 1 part water and 1 part farmland. The diverse topography and many tributaries to the Min River create a multitude of scenic areas with staggering cliffs hanging over spectacular gorges and white-water rapids. Many of these areas have now been made safer and more easily accessible for tourism while not yet having been worn by over use. Wuyi Mountain has particularly comfortable tours.

The Earth Towers of Hakkas are impressive mountain residences that can be likened to a world of fantasy.

Fujian is home to many major Buddhist temples, including Nanputuo. But Fujian also has one of China’s first Mosque’s, Qingjing in Quanzhou.

If it is well manicured gardens or powdery beaches that spark your interest, you will have no trouble here. Just beyond the beach-lined coast there are 1,400 islands, including Gulangyu, known to the people in Xiamen as “the Garden on the Sea.”
